| BACKGROUND TO THE WORKSHOP
So often you hear: “You Should Love Yourself” and yet in reality you just can't seem to do it? In this workshop The Work of Byron Katie is used to question stressful thoughts about ourselves that prevent us from fully respecting and valuing ourselves.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE WORKSHOPWhen we question our stressful thoughts about what makes us vulnerable, what we find unacceptable and shameful about ourselves, what makes us feel not good enough, how we seek approval to make up for a lack we feel in ourselves without knowing what we truly want from within, then we can start to respect and value ourselves.
In this workshop you obtain the simple tools of The Work, to meet yourself without denial, evasion or exclusion and you begin to notice:- Any part of your body, fears, thoughts, actions, dreams that we experience as alien/not me.
- Any adversarial relationship with yourself.
- We think what we think, feel what we feel, have done what we have done and are what we are, the reality of us as we are.
WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT THIS WORKSHOPNatalie: “It helped me make peace with myself. I have realized the true inner me and I am happy with what I have achieved.”
Nhomsi: “It has shown me that I am in control of myself and my life, my thoughts and my destiny.”
Marjike: “The processes were hard work and really taught me to trust myself and my intuition. It has given me such an open mind.”
ABOUT RETHA ELS
Retha is a clinical psychologist and executive coach. She says of The Work's impact on her ” ...before The Work I was directed by an internal repetitive critical voice telling me I how I was deficient, damaged and not good enough compared to others. Now, that voice has been silenced, leaving space for my internal guide to make more conscious choices.”
