A ROAD TO EMOTIONAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SPIRITUAL WELLNESS.

A ROAD
TO EMOTIONAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SPIRITUAL WELLNESS.
As
a Registered Counsellor in Private Practice, I offer a safe,
supportive and compassionate environment and a practical,
holistic and integrated approach to inner healing, guided by the
belief that we all have within us our own innate wisdom, and
that the difficulties and challenges we face, always provide us
with the opportunity to grow in understanding, compassion and
consciousness, and through our pain and our suffering, become
more whole, healthy and authentic human-beings.

Depending on the need, I incorporate into my work a variety of
interventions and methodologies such as Talk Therapy, IMAGO
Methodology in Couple Counselling, Humanistic and
Solution-focused Brief Therapy, Sandplay, Inner Child Work,
Roleplay, CAPACITAR Stress and Trauma Healing Techniques, Guided
Visualization and Meditation, Affirmations, Collage, Journaling,
Music, Drawing, Sacred Cards, Relaxation and Stress Management
Techniques and generally try and provide resources to inspire
and help develop better Coping Skills. I believe that
communication is ultimately a function of the soul and that
intuition is seeing with the soul. This is what guides and
informs my work.

BEREAVEMENT, GRIEF AND LOSS
. Loss is not necessarily
confined to dying, although the death of a loved one, be they
human or animal, has the power to impact every aspect of our
emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual well-being.
Loss can manifest in many different ways eg. Divorce, the loss
of one’s home, the loss of one’s ability to function physically
due to illness or accident, the loss of dreams about a life that
once held so much promise, the loss of one’s faith or
belief-system, the loss of a job (past or anticipated, eg.
Retirement), the loss of one’s self-esteem, the loss of trust,
the loss of innocence, the loss of control through addiction and
the loss of hope and of freedom.

SPIRITUAL ISSUES

DEATH OF A PET. “Until one has loved an animal, a part of
one’s soul remains unawakened.” Losing a pet is a much more
painful experience than most people anticipate or that our
culture generally acknowledges. Pets work their way deep into
our hearts, but in our human-centric culture, we can’t afford to
admit this. For those who have lost a precious pet or who are
struggling with the difficult and traumatic decision of whether
or not to euthanase their pet.
